Candidate: Christopher Via

Chris Via is a lifelong Holly Hill citizen, a local business owner, and a proud husband and proud father to two wonderful daughters.

Chris serves as the Vice-Mayor of Holly Hill and District 4 City Commissioner and previously served as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Planning & Appeals. Chris also represented Holly Hill on the East Volusia Regional Water Authority board, the River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization, and is the city’s voting delegate at the Florida League of Cities.

Via is a graduate of the Institute for Elected Municipal Officials and was recognized by the News-Journal as a 40 Under 40 Business Professional of the Year Honoree in 2017.

When off the clock, Chris enjoys spending time at home with his wife and two young daughters. “Holly Hill is my home. It’s where I’ve been proud to open two businesses, and it is where my wife Amber and I chose to purchase our home to raise our two beautiful daughters, Aubrey and Blaire. I value family and our community’s quality of life above all else,” said Via.
