Candidate: Vernon Weatherholtz

68 years old, married, and a proud Army veteran. After the army, I logged more than 20 years experience in construction. I worked for a heavy highway construction company as a General Superintendent and then obtained my CGC General Contractor License and started a business in redevelopment and restoration in Orlando. Winter Park hired me as Chief of Streets and Utilities and then the assistant Manager of Utilities. Next jobs were as Public Works Director for the cities of North Bay Village then Eatonville. We lived in Costa Rica for 8 years then moved to Daytona Beach 6 years ago. We are active in the community. I have served 2 years on the Code Enforcement Board. Sheron has served on the Tree Beautification Board for 1 year. My wife and I are members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4469 and the Volusia Beekeepers.org. We are beekeepers and enjoy gardening and motorcyling.
