Traffic safety professional Jay Anderson, is a nationally recognized expert on distracted driving and the executive director of STAY ALIVE …. JUST DRIVE! ™. An Army veteran and retired Lee County, FL, EMS Captain, he serves as an elected Fire Commissioner with the South Trail Fire and Rescue District; Chair of the Florida Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) distracted driving emphasis area team; Distracted Driving Goal Team Leader, 2014 - 2018 Florida Injury Prevention Strategic Plan (FIPSP); vice-chair of the Lee County Community Traffic Safety Team (CTST); sits on the Board of Directors for the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition (FTSDC), the Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition (IPC) and is Vice-President of the Lee County Sheriff’s Youth Activities League (SYAL).
