Candidate: BRIAN HAMMAN

When people say they want to build a Lee County where you can live, work and raise a family Brian Hamman knows exactly what they are talking about. Brian was born and raised in Cape Coral. For years, he has watched as friends and family have moved away to find better jobs and his number one focus is to reverse that trend as county commissioner. Keeping taxes low, spending within our means and creating a business friendly environment are the building blocks that Brian will use to accomplish our common vision of a better Lee County. Brian is a conservative republican candidate running to bring a fresh perspective to the Board of County Commissioners, District 4. A graduate of Cape Coral High School, Brian earned an associate’s degree from Edison State College and a bachelor’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University. Brian, his wife Rebecca and their daughter Kaitlyn, reside in Cape Coral and are members of Crosspoint Christian Church. Brian spent ten years in the TV news business working his way up from the “camera guy” to a news anchor on the nightly news. In addition, Brian has worked as a financial advisor and is currently the Market Development Manager for CenturyLink. While Brian’s core mission is to grow the business throughout a nine county region. The most rewarding part of his job is giving back to Lee County by managing the sponsorship and charitable contributions budget. Brian is active in the community, serving on various non-profit boards including United Way, YMCA Fort Myers, Champions for Learning in Collier County and the Executive Committee of Cape Coral’s Council for Progress. Brian has spent years working in our community, listening to people and understanding firsthand what it takes to make Lee County a great place to live, work and raise a family. He is ready to bring a fresh perspective to Lee County Government -- one that puts your family first and bickering last. Brian understands that you want a government that spends your money wisely and gets the job done. That’s exactly what he will do as your County Commissioner.
