Candidate: STEVE TEUBER

Steven K. Teuber, a Michigan native, has delivered proven, trusted leadership throughout his 17 years in Lee County in various capacities and in a wide array of public and private endeavors. He managed Pall Corporation, the largest manufacturer in Lee County for five years, expanding that facility from a 2-shift operation to a 3-shift operation during that time. He served on the Lee County School Board for eight years (2002-2010) and was instrumental in raising the LCSD to an “A” District with 85% of its schools rated “A” or “B” by the State of Florida. Steve also has served as Trustee for Christian Life Fellowship church and on the Board of Directors for many organizations including: Boy Scouts of America of SWFL, Learning for Life, Horizon Council, Lee County Value Adjustment Board, Lee Foundation of Public Schools, Edison State College Paralegal program and the Florida High School Athletic Association. Steve is an adjunct professor and has taught law, construction and engineering classes at Edison State College as well as being active in our public schools, coaching soccer, serving as a law mentor, and coaching teams for Odyssey of the Mind. Steve is uniquely qualified to manage the $1.5 Billion LCSD budget because of his dual engineering degree from Kettering University (GMI), MBA from Baldwin-Wallace and law degree from Michigan State University. Steve is also a Six Sigma Black belt and a Certified Business Manager. Steve has been married to his wife Donna for 14 years and has lived in District 4 of Lee County for over 17 years. Donna and Steve have two daughters, the oldest attended and graduated from the Lee County school system. She now is raising Steven\'s first granddaughter that will also be in our public education system. Their youngest daughter is currently in the Lee School system, attending Diplomat Middle school. Steve has demonstrated his passion for children and education as well as his ability to handle the complexities of this position. Our county needs his experience and knowledge on the Lee County School Board.
