Candidate: Matthew Erpenbeck

I am a ten-year resident of Indian River County. I feel I can provide fresh perspectives, honesty and integrity to the board of the Indian River County Mosquito Control District. I believe in a strong fiscal responsibility of our taxpayer dollars and protecting the environment.

I have earned a degree in Business Management from Florida State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Florida Southern College. I have almost 30 years work experience in a variety of roles including operations, sales, and senior management. I have been the past president of the Taxpayers' Association of Indian River County, a past board member of the Florida Feed Association and a member of the Leadership Hendry-Glades program. Currently, I serve as a board member on the Indian River County 4-H Foundation, and the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee.

Originally from Dade City, Florida, I am married and have two children ages 13 and 15. Both children attend our county schools.

I am a proud Floridian who is grateful to live in this community and will strive to continue to see it flourish. If elected to the Indian River County Mosquito Control Board, I will support the quality service that the Mosquito Control District provides with an emphasis on transparency and financial discipline. I will also embrace new technologies to combat mosquito-borne illness and disease while championing minimal impact on the residents and environment of Indian River County.
