Candidate: Abner Davis

My name is Abner Davis and I’m committed to making your voice heard as your next City Councilman for Jacksonville’s District 12. I’m running because District 12 currently lacks accessible and effective leadership on City Council. I will make accessibility, collaboration and finding smart solutions to District 12’s challenges my top priorities, along with smart neighborhood planning, small business development and support, crime reduction and youth development. As your City Councilman, I promise to bring the same level of passion and hard work to our District and City as I have working in the non-profit and public arenas for the last 10 years. My experience includes building public/private partnerships, community development, the Board of Directors for the Northeast Florida Safety Council and, my greatest achievement, educating and empowering more than 1,500 at-risk teens and young adults to become productive, tax-paying citizens. District 12 is a wonderful community to live in, and I want to create new opportunities for my children and for yours.
