Candidate: Eddie Christian

As a second generation native of Jacksonville, I am passionate about our city and the communities in District 1. Raised on the Southside, I attended public high school and then graduated from FJC, UNF and lastly JU with a degree in Educational Leadership. I have worked in the public sector most of my life and have managed multi-million dollar budgets. This, I believe, will allow me to be a mindful leader of our city and community. My initial concerns center on improved safety and reducing the crime and violence that plague our area. Beautification of District 1 and Jacksonville as a whole is also a priority. I will work to ensure District 1 gets the needed support and services from the City to fight the blight and abandonment of property. As your elected official, I will host meetings that bring the many communities together to address all the issues and share ideas. My wife and I have lived in Arlington for 30 years and are proud to have raised our 5 children in this area. When elected, I promise to represent you and to serve with integrity and commitment.
