Candidate: Jesse Wilson

Jesse Wilson is a Jacksonville native. He spent several years in the foster care system before being adopted. Jesse has taken a different path in life than many of his peers from foster care. He has spent the last 10 years driving back and forth to Tallahassee, fighting for children\'s rights. Jesse is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville\'s Collegiate Leadership Experience and commits his time to dozens of organizations on the first coast. He is employed by Family Support Services of North Florida and is also a freelance writer for publications such as Void Magazine. Jesse is a member of Downtown Vision\'s promoter campaign and sits on the steering committee for the Florida Next Foundation\'s Jacksonville Forum. Jesse was an inagural One Spark creator and is currently working on a memoir entailing his life in foster care and the death of his brother two years ago on the westside.
