Candidate for City Council

Family history:
Patricia Gee-Jones is a native of Jacksonville who has called the Bold New City her home for over 40-years. She has a daughter Jessika (26), and a son Christopher (20). Ms. Gee-Jones grew up in a lower-middle class, household on the east-side within District 7 with her mother Pearlie Mae Gee, and three brothers, Bruce, Cesar, William Eric and father the late William Cepheus Gee, who had his own trucking company. Her parents instilled in her the importance of God and family in her life. They insisted that her focus should be higher education and becoming a productive member of society.
Religious affiliation and missions:
Ms. Gee-Jones is a faithful member of Greater Grant Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church participating in the church choir, women’s missionary society, layman’s organization and the justice ministry.
Education and Qualifications:
Ms. Gee-Jones graduated from Andrew Jackson H.S., and Edward Waters College earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and Chemistry.

In 2008, Ms. Gee-Jones earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Phoenix. In 2010, Ms. Gee-Jones continued her education and earned the Certificate of Accounting from Post University and is currently a candidate for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She is also a licensed Realtor (active), licensed mortgage broker (inactive) and a past business owner of CCN2 Mortgage Solutions, Inc.
Employment and Commissions:

Ms. Gee-Jones has been a steward for the tax-payers for over 25 years working as an Environmental Specialist with the City of Jacksonville Environmental Quality Division and and business consultant for Apex Consulting Group . In 2010, Ms. Gee-Jones was appointed to the Jacksonville Health Facilities Authority Board by City Council and is the current Chairperson. This Board assists health facilities in the acquisition, construction, financing of projects in any incorporated or unincorporated area within the geographical limits of the local agency.
