James “Bat” McNeal is seeking the office of Bradford County Commissioner District 1. He believes this is the appointed time to seek candidacy as the Commissioner of District 1.
He is the son of Barbara Brown McNeal & the late Willie James McNeal. Grandson of the late Rosie Dean Brown and the late Emmanuel & Stella McNeal. He is the father of four and grandfather of two. Godfather & Mentor to many.
James is a lifelong resident of Lawtey, Florida Bradford County and of District 1. He is a Graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1990.
James is a member of True Vine Outreach Ministries in Starke, Florida James has served faithfully for over 20 years in various roles including the Transportation Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Men’s Chorale Choir, Audio ministry, Deacon, Elder, Youth Education Ministry, and Adult Sunday Education Teacher.
James is a former University of a Florida employee and has currently been employed by Bradford County School Board since 2014. He has been a head coach with Bradford PopWarner, Bradford Babe Ruth, Bradford Middle School Football, Bradford Middle School Baseball, Bradford High JV Baseball, and Assistant Bradford High Varsity Baseball.
Mr. McNeal loves the Bradford County Community and will continue to serve Bradford County and District 1 as the Commissioner if given the honor.
He believes together we can build strong families, strong communities, for a Stronger Bradford.
