Joseph Zager began his career in advocacy while still in law school, interning for local defense attorneys in Broward County. Upon graduating from law school, he became a prosecutor for the Broward County State Attorney's Office. There, he gained extensive litigation and leadership experience. He worked as a prosecutor in the Felony Trial Unit and in the Sexual Battery Unit, where he helped create Broward County’s Cyber Crimes Unit protecting children from internet exploitation. He supervised new prosecutors assigned to the Misdemeanor Criminal Trial Unit and has prosecuted all levels of crime, including murder, capital sexual battery, kidnapping, aggravated battery, and robbery with a firearm.
In private practice, Joseph Zager has handled all types of litigation, from family law, probate, and guardianship to landlord-tenant disputes and defamation. Joseph Zager is accredited as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator.
