Candidate: Susan Coyle

As a 31-year resident of of Davie, my public service is done for the love of our wonderful town and I am dedicated to protecting our natural resources. I am proud to have worked for many years  with my town leaders in a non partisan way for the good of our community. I have attended Central Broward Water Control District Meetings and met with the commissioners, so I am aware of their role in setting policy and approving drainage plans while monitoring new development and making sure adequate flood protection is provided throughout the District.  I have been vocal as a resident since moving to Davie regarding local water management and development issues including flooding, maintaining Hiatus as a two-lane rural road, the creation of the Hiatus roundabout to calm traffic, the development of Math Igler Citrus Park and Owl Park. I worked along side my neighbors, successfully convincing the Town representatives that these efforts would lead to good outcomes for the community.  I am a member of the Sierra Club that work for clean air, safe water and land protection.

I've been endoresed by: Davie Mayor Judy Paul, Council Member Susan Starkey, Fred Segal the President of the Broward County Farm Bureau & Vice Chair of Broward County Soil and Water Conservation District seat 5, Mike Crowley (recently retired) Central Water Managment District Manager, Mark Flynt: Central Water Management District Commisioner Zone 2, Angie Letto: Central Broward Water Control District Zone 5 Commisioner. I am extremely engaged as a volunteer in western Broward County, serving as a Board Member of Soroptimist International of Davie, Golf Chair and a past President. I have volunteered at HOPE Outreach, Boys & Girls Club, PAL, Old Davie School, Davie Elementary, Firewall Center and Relay For Life. I am also the President of Davie West's HOA. Together we can continue to meet the needs of our growing community and I humbly ask for your support of my campaign for Zone 2 Commissioner for Central Broward Water Control District in the days ahead.
