Candidate: Ken Gilbert

Local businessman, coach, and community leader Ken Gilbert has entered the race for St. Cloud City Council, Seat 4. Ken is the owner of Gilbert Exposition Management Services, a small business with 135 full and part time employees producing over 150 tradeshows, conventions, corporate meetings and events annually across the country.

After 26 years of coaching everything from Kissimmee Pop Warner Football to Girls Varsity Basketball at Harmony High, most folks know Ken as "Coah Gilbert." In 2012, Ken and his wife Cathy co-founded A Place for Grace and donating the building on Florida Avenue where those in need in St. Cloud and surrounding areas can find a hand up, including case management, getting their GED for free, and many other services.

Now Ken wants to focus his efforts towards making his community a better place by serving on the City Council. Ken wants to stop out of control growth, attract high wage jobs, improve public safety, and expand youth programs throughout the city. His goal is to thoroughly understand each of these problems and work towards effective solutions. 

The Gilbert family has lived in Osceola County since 2003. Ken and Cathy have five successful children and five beautiful grandchildren.
