Candidate: Julian L Stokes Jr

Julian has always been passionate about real estate and the appraisal profession with over 15 years of experience in property valuation and consultation. Julian works as a real estate appraiser and consultant in a supervisory role with Integra Realty Resources - Southwest Florida, which began shortly after attaining his Master's Degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver. Before postgraduate studies, Julian attended Rollins College where he joined the DII National Champion tennis team; thereafter, Julian received his Associate of Arts Degree from Florida Gulf Coast University and then achieved his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the University of North Florida. 

Along with being licensed as a Florida State-Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, Julian holds the prestigious designation of Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), held by professionals who provide a range of services on all types of real property related to providing opinions of value, evaluations, review, consulting and advice on investment decisions, among other things. The MAI designation has long been recognized by courts of law, government agencies, financial institutions, and investors as a mark of excellence in the field of real estate valuation and analysis. 

Julian's appraisal experience ranges from general property types to specialty types with experience including Residential Developments (PUDs, Condominiums and Subdivisions), Multifamily - Low-Income Housing, (LIHTC), Net Leased Properties, Marinas, Agricultural Farm Land and Urban Mixed Use Entertainment Venues, just to note a few.

Julian Stokes Jr. was born and raised in Naples as a 3rd generation Florida native. Julian's personal life revolves around family, friends, and the surrounding waters of Collier County. Whether it's inshore, offshore, or anchored off of the beach, Julian and his wife Tara enjoy weekends boating with their two young sons, Julian III (Tripp) and Thatcher. Julian also enjoys spending time on the tennis court with his two sons, sharing his knowledge from years of competitive juniors and college experience. Additionally, Julian was privileged to help the Naples High School tennis team acting as Assistant Tennis Coach from 2013 to 2014 following his prior experience as a Coach/Counselor for Nike Tennis Camp at Lawrenceville School in New Jersey. Julian is an active member of Naples North Rotary Club, which hosts several large fundraiser events that benefit Collier County Education, local scholarships, and other local charities. 

As a lifelong resident of Collier County and servant leader, Julian Stokes Jr. is running for Collier County Property Appraiser, because he believes in a fair, equitable, and efficient tax roll. He understands the complexities of advanced appraisal technology and the benefits that can be applied to the Property Appraiser's office, as well as the public's. Being a husband of a commercial real estate recognized Power Broker, Julian understands the requirements and challenges brokerage and management firms have with property owners' income expectations that can be significantly impacted by increases in real property taxes. Julian will be transparent and expand access to all property platforms, giving ease of access to all information, which is the right of the public. Julian Stokes Jr. is the leader that is needed in Collier County.
