As the Chief of Operations at the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Tim’s primary responsibility was to ensure that the Sheriff's Office operated efficiently and effectively, while also maintaining a high level of service to the community.  Tim was responsible for ensuring that the Sheriff’s Office complied with all applicable laws and regulations.  He developed and implemented policies and procedures that governed the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff's Office.  This included policies related to personnel management, budgeting, equipment procurement, and other operational areas.

Tim managed a multi-million dollar budget and allocated resources to different programs and activities based on operational needs.  This involved collaborating with local law enforcement agencies, government agencies, and community organizations to coordinate operations, share resources, secure funding, and promote public safety.  He also supervised the maintenance and repair of operational equipment and facilities used by the Sheriff's Office, to include vehicles, weapons, and communication systems.

As the Chief of Operations, Tim was responsible for managing over 700+ employees, including assisting with the recruitment of new agency members, conducting performance evaluations, and providing training and career development opportunities.  He developed and implemented schedules and deployment plans for deputies during multiple crisis and hazardous situations, as well as ensuring that officers were properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties.  Tim managed several special units within the department, to include the Patrol Division, Youth Relations, Gangs, SWAT, Aviation and K9 units, developing policies and standard operating procedures specific to these units.

Tim is a Team Principal at Compass Florida, after owning his own successful brokerage, serving clients statewide. Tim is active with the Naples Area Board of Realtors serving on the professional development and safety committees.

Tim Guerrette holds degrees in Criminal Justice, Business, and a Master's Degree in Administration.  He possesses strong leadership skills and routinely served as the Sheriff’s representative at public events and in media interviews.  He is proficient in managing and supervising department staff, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, government budgeting and financial management, developing and implementing policies, procedures, and state laws.  He is a certified instructor and has extensive training in safety and security.  Tim has been proudly serving the Collier County community since 1990 and continues to be involved through philanthropy and volunteering for several community events and organizations.

Tim is excited and ready to bring his vast knowledge and experience in safety, security, problem solving, innovative solutions, and working with citizens of diverse backgrounds to the Supervisor of Elections for the betterment of the community.  Tim is dedicated to a Safe | Secure | Ethical electoral process for Collier County voters and beyond.
