I have been a resident of Charlotte County for approximately 13 years. I am currently employed as a Realtor for the Allison James Estates & Homes Corporation. I began my real estate career in 2000 after completing a very successful 36 year career in Air Traffic Control with the Federal Aviation Administration and the RVA Corporation. Previous to my career as a Realtor, I was employed as the Manager of the Fort Myers (Page) Air Traffic Control Tower from 1996-2000 for the RVA Corporation. Prior to this, I served with the Federal Aviation Administration for 29.5 years, plus 4 years with the IBM Corporation and 4 years in the USMC. While in the FAA I filled positions as: Manager (Toledo ATCT & Radar); Assistant Manager (Portland Int’l Airport, Portland, OR); Evaluations Specialist (Detroit Metro ATCT) Assistant Manager for Programs; FAA Headquarters - Automation Staff Specialist & Air Traffic Program Manager for Staffing Standards; Planning and Procedures Specialist; Quality Assurance Specialist; Evaluation and Proficiency Specialist; Supervisor; and Air Traffic Control Specialist. During my FAA career, I learned how to oversee operational programs by planning, setting priorities and establishing schedules; managing an organization tactically and strategically and manage large and diverse programs; coordinate projects with various offices and users; assess an organization and the environment in which it operates; manage heavy time demands; become very skilled in speaking, leading people and managing human resources; become skilled in building and maintaining alliances and relationships; acquire the ability to obtain and manage financial resources; and acquire strong technical expertise and professional judgment.
