Candidate: C.J. Morgan

     My Name is CJ Morgan, and I would be honored to have your vote for Sarasota County's Republican State Committeeman. A rust-belt, limited government, Reagan Republican through and through, I was born and Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Like many residents of Sarasota County, I grew up vacationing here, spending my summers with my grandparents who've lived here full-time since 2003. In 2015, I took a leap of faith - with $150 in my Bank Account, a car, and an 18 year old’s sense of freedom, I relocated to Venice to be closer to my grandparents and assist them during their golden years.

I started my working life at age 16 in the service industry, before transitioning to the Land-Title Industry in 2016. I worked coordinating land surveys for mortgage closings until 2021, when I transitioned over to both working from home, and the Construction Management industry for a Telecommunications Infrastructure Company, where I’ve worked as a Site Acquisition Consultant. I spend my 9-to-5 interfacing with Landlords and Tenants to lead leasing negotiations as well as working with municipalities and clients to secure Permits for Cell Tower projects for wireless companies in the Northeast.

     My political beliefs were shaped by my Blue-Collar, No-Nonsense, Rust Belt upbringing. I was privileged to be taught from a young age the value of hard work, dedication, and most importantly, the love of our Country and its freedoms. From my Uncles who were blue-collar tradesmen, to my father, an Iraq War Veteran, and my Stepfather, a Paramedic and first responder in one of Pittsburgh’s most dangerous suburbs, I was surrounded by those who exemplify the values and beliefs of the people that make America the greatest country in the world. In 2021, My love for my country and the desire to protect my newfound home from the disasters of the Democrats' leadership during the Covid Pandemic led me to become involved in local politics.

     After Joining the Sarasota County Republican Executive Committee in April of 2021, I saw a need to recruit younger folks, like myself, into the GOP. That’s when I stepped up and offered my talents to lead the then-defunct Sarasota Young Republicans. Since reforming the club in 2021, my team and I have grown the Sarasota YRs to become the 3rd largest Club in the State of Florida, with almost 80 Active Members. Under my Leadership the SRQYRs have become one of the most politically active Republican Clubs in the State of Florida, with over 120,000 Sarasota County voters contacted since the club reformed in 2021 and, in 2024, being the origin of the Legislation that now requires our Public School Students to learn about the horrors and domestic attempts to be overtaken by the disgusting ideology of Communism.

     My success in club leadership was why, in October 2022, I was elected by my peers as the Vice Chairman of the Florida Young Republicans, and was subsequently Re-elected in June of 2023. My experience on the Local and State level demonstrate I have the drive, determination, and knowledge to help recruit, train, and elect conservatives to office, and I will utilize those experiences, as your State Committeeman, to drive the Republican Party of Florida Forward and ensure we have the next generation of Conservative Leadership ready to take up the mantle. After all, as the Gipper so often said, “Freedom is never more than a generation away from extinction.”
