Michelette Walker raised four children as a single mom. Her career path led her to community organizing where she realized one of her passions was advocating for the rights of others . She adapted that role into her life for nearly 30 years. In 1995 Michelette worked with Dr. Allen Shaw of MIT and Pamela Morgan of Newark, NJ, Board Of Education, promote computer literacy. This was done by the BOE providing computers and Dr. Shaw's computer program. Residents were connected with one another, internal and external agencies to improve their health, personal growth and their community. Michelette worked with New Community Corp., as a Resident Organizer and internal, external liason for over 1100 residents. She then became an Aide to Councilman Emeritus (now Senator) Cory A. Booker where she improved the quality of life for residents throughout the city. .
In 2017 she relocated to Kissimmee, Florida,with a dedication to continue helping the community in which she lives. She qualified for and won unopposed Democratic State Committeewoman of Osceola County, and she won Precinct Leader over Pricinct 113 effective December 1, 2020. She has rollied up her sleeves to campaign for Seat 4 on the Soil and Water Board. With a commitment to preserve and protect our soil and water supply, while seeking Truth and promoting Transparency.
