Candidate's Statement

Hello, Osceola County Residents! My name is Wilfredo “Will” Fonseca. I have called Osceola County my home for the past 20 years. I am a family man, a coach, and also a man who is willing to get things done in the community for the benefit of all. I believe in community over politics, and I am running to give the community a new option and someone who is ready to get to work. Property Appraisers Office is an elected position and I want to be out there using my influence to fight for the wants and needs of the community and not just sit in the office.

As an Osceola County resident who has been around to see the immense growth the county has made, I realize that there are still many changes that could be made with a fresh new look. After conducting endless hours of research and interviews in the community, I realized that I needed to take the advice I give the youth that I mentor as a coach, and that is to “take action!” I am learning every day that I need to be the change I wish to see in this county. As a community coach and leader, I am ready to make a difference on a larger scale and with no influence from special interest groups.

I am running for Property Appraiser because that will allow me to work with the community and other community leaders, who together have the power to create a greater difference. I want to represent all the residents by helping all of the county’s residence, realtors, and homeowners. As Property Appraiser, I want to focus on things like updating the current website to mirror or be better than some of the counties around us. It’s 2020, we need to keep up with the times and our residents. I want to be transparent with the budget making it easier for the community to find answers, as well as, educate the community on savings. This is just the surface. There are so many things I am excited to work on together.

I want to be the candidate on the ballot that works for the community.

Let’s work on:

  •      Updating the county website with detailed information that will benefit first time home buyers, realtors, homeowners, and home investors.

  • Have better communication with local Osceola County organizations.  (This was top suggestions told to me when meeting with some of them)

  •       Being transparent with the community by allowing detailed reports to be more assessable.

  •      Educating the community on incentive programs to help homeowners save money on taxes.

  •       Bring the Property Appraisers office into the community. Let’s put a familiar face to the title Property Appraiser.

  • Make all forms online in both English and Spanish to help with our growing Hispanic population.

I welcome you to reach out, let’s talk! I want to hear what our residents have to say.

Please VOTE! Elect Will Fonseca on November 3rd, 2020.

PUTTING COMMUNITY OVER POLITICS TODAY AND ALWAYS!

A little more about me;

Osceola County is where I met my lovely wife and high school sweetheart, Lucy. We both graduated from Gateway High School. Go Panthers! Osceola County is where my two children, Ryko (16) and Leilany (10) have always attended school. Osceola County is where my family dedicates many hours of community service and human services.

My father has worked in the electrical and construction field for more than 30 years, and my mother has devoted the last 20 years of her life working for the Osceola Council on Aging, Meals on Wheels program feeding seniors. In my free time, I partner up with her and deliver meals to the participants of the program.

I have coached local youth organizations for about 10 years. I have always been involved in assisting the community through community service with organizations such as The Special Olympics, and The Council on Aging.  My older brother Frankie has been an athlete for the Special Olympics since I was a young kid. Since youth, I developed a passion for helping others and it all started with my brother.  With Special Olympics, I have volunteered as a partner, coach, and as part of a committee.

My professional experience includes business management, business consulting, marketing, investing, and real estate. I have worked in helping the community and managed businesses with a multi-million-dollar budget. With that said, I want to ensure that I believe in a community-focused with a common-sense approach. It’s not hard, put the residents first because you all help make Osceola County great.

Again I welcome you to reach out. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
