Candidate: Melissa Grove

Nestled 30 minutes away from the beach and 30 minutes away from Orlando attractions, Harmony is the ideal place to live. When my husband and I passed by, on our way to Disney, curiosity took over, forcing us to venture into the community, simply out of curiosity. It was love at first sight. We fell in love with the nostalgic feel the community had. Just like you, I moved to Harmony because of the the 'good old days feel; children riding bikes, couples walking on sidewalks in the evenings, and the general safety and community feeling that it had. This is why I am running for the CDD board seat number 1. As a person who started working on government contracts in DC in 2007, I bring extensive legal and contractual experience to the CDD board. Community is the most important thing; especially in times like these. When you live in Harmony, you know that your neighbors have your back, and you have theirs. We will take care of each other. My goal is to support, maintain and flourish that community spirit. Harmony was founded on the principal that nature and humans live together in harmony. My goal is to not only nourish what we have now but also expand where we can, preserving and promoting the living with nature in harmony relationship. As an gardening junkie, with bee and butterfly gardens in my own yard and a spot in our community garden, I love everything about encouraging nature in this community.
