Candidate: Tahitiana Chaffin

My name is Tahitiana Chaffin, I am running for the Osceola County Commissioner, District 5 Seat. I am a resident of Osceola County, currently residing in the St Cloud area. I am a former law enforcement officer and currently a licensed Realtor serving Central Florida. 
Being in real estate, it has given me an opportunity to research and visit most of the counties throughout Central Florida. This is how my husband and I decided to make the St Cloud area our permanent home. Rich in history, the rural America feel, economic, residential and economic growth, highly rated schools and the strong neighborly feel is what we have grown to love. I have helped many of my clients find their own homes throughout Osceola County. Where they too share in our own affections towards the county.
From a very early age, I knew that the Public Service Professions is where I wanted to work. This led me to law enforcement where I spent years protecting and serving the citizens of the same cities and counties where we lived. Within these years, I found my true passion of community service and building partnerships with residents. I dedicated most of my law enforcement career in establishing community based programs like National Night Out, Neighborhood Watch, Shop with a COP and encouraging participation. This part of my career led me to receiving the Community Officer of the Year Award, many letters of appreciation and re-establishing the community policing approach.
Following my law enforcement career, we settled in Central Florida where I began my real estate career. All while still being very active in the community service, based programs like, RED day, (Renew, Energize and Donate) which is an initiative dedicated to celebrating our brands year-round commitment to improving our local communities. An approach that has been a driving point in my daily life. Now, I want to take my passions, my commitment to community, my experience in business and public service to be your voice for District 5. 
A mission of infrastructure improvements, business and economic growth, improvements within our schools, safety, support of our public services, identifying needs within our rural/agricultural base within Osceola county. All while providing transparency and maintaining open lines of communication within the office.
