Candidate: Mary Jane Arrington

It is my honor to serve as your Supervisor of Elections.  Since being elected I have worked diligently to enhance the services provide to the voters of Osceola County.  During my tenure I have reduced the budget while improving services we provide our voters.  I have been willing to make hard decisions to increase the efficiently of our operations.  While at the same time finding and implementing innovative approaches to our office to save your tax dollars. 

My attention has been focused on making improvements to the Elections Office using a common sense approach to the operations of the office, using state-of-the arts technology and using innovative practices to better serve the voters of Osceola County.   While at the same time improving the security of our office to protect your vote and make sure the election is secure.

As an elections professional it is my responsibility to make sure that all election services are provided to voters in a fair, impartial and nonpartisan manner.  It is my duty to insure your voting rights are protected and you are confident your vote is accurately cast and tabulated.  I take great measures to protect your vote.

Since moving to Osceola County 49 years ago, I have always been involved in the community from working in my children\s schools to serving on many community boards and charities.

In 1994 I entered the government arena when I was the first women to be elected to serve on the Osceola County Commission, where I served from 1994-2002.  I was one on the founding supervisors of the TOHO Water Authority, where I served from 2001-2008.  I continue to be active on various boards in the community.  I am dedicated volunteer for the YMCA, where I serve as the Past Board Chairman of the YMCA of Central Florida. 

As a certified Elections Professional I am one of only 1200 election professional nationwide.  This certification is a multi-year program offered by Auburn University and the Election Center.  I have Bachelor Degree in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida and I have completed course work for a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from FSU.

I am married to my college sweetheart Curtis and we have 4 adult children, Amy, Jason, Brandon and Ashley.  And we have four amazing grandchildren.
