Contact Information
Kissimmee Mayor, Jose Alvarez, and his family has lived in Osceola for over 23 years. Jose was born in Havana, Cuba and came to the United States in 1971 as a child. He was raised in Miami, where he met his wife Darlene and started a family and a career with the Florida Department of Transportation. Shortly after, Jose, Darlene, and their daughters moved to Osceola in 1997, and Jose became a Realtor® shortly after. He is now a Licensed Real Estate Broker and a small business owner of local real estate company.
Throughout Jose’s 19 years as a Realtor® among numerous appointments to industry committees and boards, he has served on the Florida Association of Realtors® Board of Directors, the Mid-Florida Regional MLS Board of Directors, and in 2009 was elected to serve as President of the Osceola County Association of Realtors®.
Jose believes in giving back to his community, he volunteers by serving on many civic and non-profit Board of Directors such as: The Hispanic Business Council, Help Now, Osceola Education Foundation, and the Kissimmee/Osceola Commission on Homelessness. Him and his wife Darlene have been married for 31 years and they have 5 beautiful daughters and 5 grand- children. Their daughters have served our community and country through law enforcement and the military.
