My career was spent in account management, sales and marketing in the industrial chemical field. In those roles I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to travel around the world and work with, interact with and solve problems together with everyone from laborers on a greasy factory floor in China to the senior research scientists of major global pharmaceutical companies.

In every one of these situations I was able to be successful because I learned how to listen, understand all sides of an issue, and bring parties together in a collaborative way that opened the door for all to move forward in a positive manner.

I could fill pages with details of who, what, where and when, as some do, and I could embellish my achievements in a grandiose fashion, but what would that accomplish?

It would be nothing more than fancy words on a sheet of paper and, to be honest, anyone fortunate enough to be living in Winding Cypress in 2022 has been successful in life and could write an impressive resume.

But when you step into the booth to vote for someone for this seat on your Community Development District board, for someone who will be responsible for how large quantities of your money get spent, you’re not voting for a resume, you’re not voting for empty words on a sheet of paper, you’re voting for a person, a friend, a neighbor in Winding Cypress who shares the same desires, hopes and concerns for our wonderful community as you have.

I know many of you, and when we see one another at the clubhouse, at The Shady Palm, or riding a bike, you don’t see words on a piece of paper, you see Alex Petrovsky, a person, your friend, your neighbor. You see someone just like you who you can relate to.

So please know that it is that person, Alex Petrovsky, who wishes to represent all of us, and I’m humbly asking you to vote for me, a person, not for words on a resume. And, if you favor me with your vote, you who know me know that I will be approachable, friendly, and devoted to finding collaborative solutions for all of us blessed to live in this wonderful place.
