Candidate: John Johnson

I am John Johnson seeking election to the Collier Mosquito Control District (CMCD) Board of Commissioners - Seat 1.  I have been a full time resident of Collier County for over 30 years.  My wife and I raised our children here - 5 daughters.  We are now blessed with 7 grandchildren!  

I have been involved in the public sector for many years.  I am currently employed by the Collier County Growth Management Division working as an Investigator for Code Enforcement.  I have also served as an elected Commissioner for CMCD with 20 years of experience.  Collier County is near and dear to us and we are committed to insuring that SW Florida remains a uniquely special paradise for residents and visitors.

CMCD has always been recognized as one of the industry leaders (national & international) in Mosquito Control.  As always, CMCD is in the ongoing process of implementing cutting edge technology to enhance their industry renowned Integrated Pest Management system.  This includes new treatment materials & techniques, new delivery systems, and expanded community education & involvement.

The most critical assets of CMCD are the dedicated professionals that they employ.  I have worked many years with most of this staff.  The passionate experience practiced daily by this small group of people who all wear many hats while protecting and serving the residents and visitors of one of the largest Mosquito Control Districts, is truly remarkable.

I plan to continue to insure this level of excellence as I represent the people of Collier County by serving on the Board of Commissioners for Collier Mosquito Control
