I have been a resident of Winding Cypress for seven (7) years watching the community grow from less than 20 homes to over 750 homes today.

I have proudly served as your elected Supervisor of the Winding Cypress Community Development District (WCCDD) for the past 2 years. I am your only elected resident representative to the CDD.

What is a community development district?

It is an independent, special taxing district authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes to plan, finance, construct, operate and maintain public infrastructure in planned developments.

How does the district affect residents?

The district levies an assessment against property each year that represents a pro-rata share of the cost of public infrastructure that was financed by the district. Included in the assessment is a pro-rata share of the cost to administer and maintain the district. The assessment will appear on the property tax bill sent in November of each year. If you have a mortgage on your property and your taxes are escrowed, your assessments will be included in your monthly mortgage payment. In that case, your tax bill will go directly to your mortgage company and be paid from your escrow account.

I am seeking another term to provide the Winding Cypress CDD and the residents of Winding Cypress with the continuity and the historical perspective necessary to promote a seamless transition from Developer control to a balanced CDD Board consisting of Residents and Developer representatives. As well as experience promoting efficient operating environments essential to the future of the CDD.

I am:

A representative who has been a community leader for over 7 years and continues to represent our community with honor and dignity.

A representative who for the past almost 7 years has cared enough about the CDD's operations to attend almost all of their meetings and ask meaningful questions and provide valued resident input.

A representative prior to being elected to the Winding Cypress Community Development District (WCCDD) who was the lone resident for 5 years who attended a majority of the scheduled meeting.

 A representative who believes that this is an extremely valuable experience which continues to translate into an invaluable asset to the community we live in.

A representative who has a proven record of success as your elected representative.

The experienced candidate who wants to continue to be one of the two CDD Resident representatives.

The representative with 45+ years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer, President of a Management Consulting Firm, as well as having extensive knowledge and experience in governmental guidelines and operational implementation including physical plant and property management.

As we transition to resident representation, we need an experienced and proven leader familiar with the daily operations of the CDD to represent the residents of our wonderful community. Not a candidate who was pressured into running for the position.

I have the experience based on seven (7) years of attending CDD meetings and serving on the WCCDD as your CDD Resident Supervisor to continue to lead our community forward on the CDD.
