Candidate: Jeffrey Hawk

Jeff Hawk is a retired Sergeant from the US Army; he was retired in 2012 after suffering combat related injuries that made him unable to continue his service to his country. Jeff served his country for 10yrs stationed in the U.S, Germany and the Middle East where he met his wife Ashley. After marrying in 2008 they had their son Caiden who was followed in 2009 by their daughter Addison. In the winter of 2012 Jeff retired from the Army due to his combat injuries. After retiring Jeff went right into the community to continue to serve in any way he could.

Jeff grew up on a farm in Northern Kentucky where he learned about working for what you want and providing for the community. At a young age Jeff involved himself in the community and charitable causes in school and outside of school as a member of the Elks lodge where he dedicated his time to helping within his community where he could. He volunteered while on active duty in the Army overseas working with the USO and MWR helping to provide shows and entertainment for his fellow brothers and sisters of the Armed Forces. As a soldier, Jeff was among a few of the most decorated junior enlisted Soldiers in his unit because of his hard work and dedication. His military awards include:

Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Overseas Service Ribbon 3rd Award, Army Good Conduct Medal 2nd Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Meritorious Unit Citation 3rd Award, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal 2nd Award, NATO Medal.

Jeff and his family relocated to central Florida from upstate New York in 2014 and since then Jeff has been very active in Kissimmee and Osceola County. Jeff continues to volunteer with the American Legion in Kissimmee and wherever he is needed. He looks forward to meeting more of the people that live in the community and working with them to give their voice power within the county once again, the way it should be.
