Candidate: Gina Jolley

I am a native of Taylor County and a product of the Taylor County school system. I graduated from Taylor County high school and later attended Taylor Technical Institute which is now Big Bend Technical College. I worked hard at TTI to earn my CompTIA A+ and Network+ certificates along with my MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional).

 I was employed by the Taylor County School Board MIS department for 11 years. Some of my major accomplishments include implementation of the Follett library software on a district level, set up and maintenance of the Pearson testing lab at TTI, as well as being accountable for the hardware/software and the network at 5 different school sites simultaneously.  The knowledge gained during my tenure working with the dedicated teachers, support staff, and administrators gives me unique insight into what Taylor County schools need to ensure our children are successful and remain competitive in today’s fast paced world of technology.

My husband and I have an 8 year old son, Leevi, who has attended Taylor county public school since the age of 2. We are heavily involved in all aspects of his education. We participate in all parent oriented school functions, activities and meetings. This is a continuation of when my oldest son, Logan, previously progressed through the Taylor County school system. I have been a parent with a student in our schools for over twenty years.

I am invested in the school system for the betterment of not only my child, but all future leaders of Taylor County. I know they deserve the best and if elected, I will strive to ensure all children have the means to meet their maximum potential.
