Candidate: JESSICA CARTER

Candidate for Lee Memorial Health System Hospital Board of Directors District 5. Wellness Advocate for the Health of this Community. Biography Jessica Carter is a native Floridian. She has been residing in the Southwest Florida community since she graduated from the area university after having received scholarships from Bright Futures and Take Stock in Children, as well as, an athletic scholarship in softball. Jessica graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance from Florida Gulf Coast University. She was a former female athlete of the Division 1 women’s softball team with Florida Gulf Coast University. Also, she attended Santa Fe College and received an Associate in Exercise Science. She gained her passion for promoting Wellness and Healthy living while interning with the women’s soccer strength and conditioning program at Florida Gulf Coast University, Omni, and with Fitness on the Move here in Fort Myers. Jessica currently works as an Exercise Specialist for the Lee Memorial Wellness Centers within the Lee Memorial Health System, as an Assistant Manager for Curves International, and a Wellness Coach for Health Designs. Also, she is the assistant softball hitting coach and middle school volleyball coach for Southwest Florida Christian Academy. Jessica’s experience working with the Lee Memorial Health System and her healthcare background has provided her with the insight on how to plan for the healthy future of the local healthcare system. She would like to help implement this “HEALTHY VISION” within Lee Memorial Health System as a Hospital Board Member and work to better the future of the community that they serve. Jessica’s strong interests are to passionately pursue health and wellness throughout the Lee County community and promote healthy lifestyles to improve the health and well-being of each and every resident in the community.
