Candidate: ROBERT 'BOB ' CHILMONIK

Robert “Bob” Chilmonik has previously served two four year terms as the District One school board member in Lee County, Florida. Prior to his election in 2002 Bob was a business teacher for six years in Lee County public schools and currently teaches part-time as a computer science teacher at Edison State College. He has built a reputation as a strong advocate for financial and educational accountability in Lee County schools with emphasis on directing money to the classroom. Bob is 58 years old and graduated from Fort Myers High in 1972. He received a Bachelor’s degree in History from Mars Hill College in 1976 and a Masters of Science Degree in Computer Science Education from Nova Southeastern University in 1999. After finishing college he started his business career working for large corporations including Nabisco and Heinz USA in various management and headquarter operations positions. Bob is married to wife Cheryl Chilmonik who is a public school teacher and they have two daughters, Kathryn and Kimberly.
