Candidate: Terence L. Sullivan

Terry Sullivan I retired from Indian River Mosquito Control District in 2013 after 8 years of service. I have been married to Catherine (Harnett) Sullivan for 19 years. I have been an IR county resident since 1991; having been born and raised in the Chicago area. Opened the Arby’s restaurant with my brother-in-law (which is still open on US 1). Opened a photo shop and processed your pictures from film. After the digital revolution, I have had various jobs with county and state departments. I started working form IR Mosquito Control in 2006 and become a chicken phlebotomist ( yes – taking blood form chickens). This process is used to test for the mosquito born viruses; there are 48 chicken across the county and more in the “hen” house. The chickens are well taken care of and the results give management the tools needed to control mosquitos. I am very familiar with the day to day operations. I have spent many evenings spraying in all the neighborhoods of Indian River County. I would like to serve on the board and continue helping the citizens of Indian River County by controlling the mosquito population.
