Candidate's Statement

As a lifelong resident of Hendry County, I know intimately the challenges we face. Our county now, and consistently, has had the highest unemployment rate in the state. Soon with, the Airglades International Airport expansion, it will no longer be something we in rural America should be embarrassed about. It will take strong leadership within our county and city government to prepare for, and sustain, the growth that the airport will bring. I want to be part of the leadership that takes us there. If given the opportunity, I will work to enhance education and workforce training programs, upgrade infrastructure, create housing, and promote commerce in Hendry County, so that our communities are vibrant and there are new opportunities for our residents. I promise to put my blood, sweat and tears into being a great commissioner for Hendry County.
