Dr. Phillip Maurice Jackson was born on January 22, 1966, to the late Mr. Robert Edward Jackson and Ms. Vallie Lee Pierce Locke (step-father the late Mr. Joseph Lock) in Valdosta, GA. His maternal grandparents were Deacon Walter Pierce and Mother Lily Mae Pierce, and paternal grandparents were Robert Edward Jackson and Lillie Mae Jackson. Dr. Jackson also credits a lot of his success to his spiritual parents the late District Evang. Willie Daniels and Church Mother Queen Esther Daniels.

Dr. Jackson comes from a family of hard workers who display integrity, and this is seen so vividly in his sisters and brothers – Carmen Jackson (Jones) Sheffield, Te’Sha Jackson, Denise Jackson Perry, Tabatha Jackson, Donald Jackson, and Andre Jackson.

Dr. Jackson has been a tremendous impact in the Hamilton County area for over 30 years, serving as a faithful employee of the Hamilton County School System for 34 years. He began his community efforts by establishing a jail ministry. Dr. Jackson would teach bible study to inmates, offering them redemption and hope upon their release. In 2006, Dr. Phillip Jackson and his wife, Mrs. Ledia Jackson, loss their only son Corey M. Jackson to an automobile accident. While some would have succumbed to grief, Dr. Jackson became an avid philanthropist for the youth and any individual that he encountered.

In 2007, Dr. Jackson became the pastor of Empowering Tabernacle House of Prayer Outreach Ministry Apostolic Faith in Jasper, FL. As he pastored, he continued to uphold his outreach passion. He started a Boys to Men Mentoring program for young boys ages 13 to 18, with his youth (from ETHOP), he visited nursing homes bearing gifts for the elderly, Counsel on Aging, Cancer baskets for those battling and those that have survived cancer, and he feeds the community every Thanksgiving. His passion to empower others is endless.

Dr. Jackson has served on the Tourist Development Committee, NAACP Committee, and City Council in Jennings, FL. He is the 2017 and 2018 recipient of employee of the year (2017 – Hamilton County High School / 2018 – State of Florida School-Related Employee of the Year).

Dr. Jackson earned his doctoral degree in 2016 from Covenant Bible College & Seminary School under the leadership of Dr. Connie Peterson. From this great achievement – Dr. Jackson was able to pen his first book – “From the Least to the Greatest” which can be found on sites such as: Amazon, Bookbaby.com, and Barnes & Noble. Even with his accomplishments, Dr. Jackson still serves the peoples with a heart of compassion. He loves the youth, and he loves his community.

Dr. Jackson is also the Co-Director of the C.M.J. Academy- The School of a 2nd Chance in Jasper, FL. A school established in the honor of their son. Through that legacy, Dr. Jackson and his wife has given out scholarships to deserving seniors in Hamilton, Madison, Suwannee, and Columbia Counties. He stands proud as a community leader, and he never disappoint. He is not new to this, but he is TRUE to this – Trustworthy, Reliable, Un-biased, Experienced - everything that Hamilton County Needs to be GREAT. Vote for Phillip (PJ) Jackson.
