Candidate: Janette Martinez

Community Leader and activist Janette Martinez has filed to run for Osceola County Commission, District 2. Mrs. Martinez is making her first bid for public office. “I am running for the Osceola County Commission because like you, I want our average voices to be heard,” stated Martinez, “As citizens, we must be united to make our county the best place for our families to live”. Janette Martinez is currently a paralegal for a criminal defense attorney and is a member of the Florida Bar Paralegal Association. As a community activist, she completed the Kissimmee School of Government in 2016 to further her understanding of local government functions. As a community leader Martinez has several years of volunteer work to our local charitable organizations. Janette Martinez is currently the President of the P.T.A. (Parent Teacher Association) at her children's high school where she also serves as the Chairwoman of the S.A.C. (School Advisory Council). Mrs. Martinez is the President of the Osceola County Chapter D.H.C.F. (Democratic Hispanic Caucus) and is the Treasurer for the State of Florida D.H.C.F. (Democratic Hispanic Caucus). Janetter Martinez believes in furthering her education which is why she is a current student at Full Sail University with a graduating date of Feb. 2019. Janette Martinez is a proud Democrat and has lived in Osceola County for six years. She and her husband, Jose, are the proud parents of our 4 children: Javier, Jose Jr., Janiris, and Janeva.
