Candidate: Tom Patton

Tom grew up the small southern Indiana town of Bedford, and has lived and worked in nearly every region of the country. A broadcaster and journalist for 30 years, Tom came to Jacksonville in 2000 to establish a local news department at WJCT-FM. A resident of Neptune Beach, he has been active in learning about the city\'s issues both as a journalist and as a volunteer for JCCI. Tom holds a Bachelors degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University. He worked for both the Voice of America and C-SPAN while living in the Washington, DC region. He led the news department for Georgia Public Radio\'s 14 station network headquartered in Atlanta. He hosted \"Week in Review\", a weekly local issues program on WJCT-TV and WJCT-FM, as well as the station\'s quarterly \"First Coast Forum\" programs. Tom\'s wife Andie is a native of Neptune Beach.
