Candidate: Michael Corrigan

My name is Michael Corrigan and I would like your vote for Tax Collector! I am a life-long resident of Jacksonville, a small business owner and a proven community leader. Following graduation from high school I started building my family’s manufacturing business from the ground up. Thirty years later Nu-Trend Plastics is still successful for two primary reasons: (1) we do the job right the first time, and (2) we consistently complete the work in an efficient manner saving our customers money. I understand that the citizens want the same attributes in their new Tax Collector, someone who does it right the first time and lessens the burden on the taxpayers. Giving back to the community is important to me as well. For three decades, I have been actively involved in community leadership positions focusing on job creation, safer neighborhoods and mentoring our youth. My ability to motivate employees to work more efficiently, while providing better customer service to the citizens we serve, will prove to be an invaluable asset to our city as we move through these tough economic times.
