Candidate's Statement

Born on a Navy base in Corpus Christi, City Council candidate Sean Hall first moved to Northeast Florida at the age of seven. The following years brought transfers, deployments and business moves, but he kept returning until the day he could finally call Jacksonville home. A graduate of Orange Park High School, Hall earned a B.A. in Communications from the University of North Florida, where he was in Army ROTC, served in the student senate and was warden of his fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi. He put his ROTC training to use as an Airborne/Infantry officer in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard for 14 years serving in numerous deployments in Europe and the Middle East. Hall’s work as an IT sales professional, most recently with Panasonic Computer Solutions, has also provided an international perspective. As executive business development manager for Latin America, he is accountable for driving and creating new opportunities for Panasonic through out Central and South America. His primary focus is Brazil and Mexico. The opportunity to develop relationships with stakeholders in these countries has given Sean a unique insight into the unlimited partnership and trade opportunities with Latin America. Prior to serving on the Latin American operations team, Hall was Panasonic’s senior area manager for the Southeast and Caribbean. Hall serves on the board of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville and is a member of the Citizens’ Oversight Committee for The Better Jacksonville Plan. He is also a graduate and member of Leadership Jacksonville (Class of 2010), graduate and member of the first Jacksonville Regional Political Leadership Institute class and the Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council (SPAR). He lives in Springfield with his wife, Kerri Stewart, his daughter, Emily, and two dogs.
