Candidate: Stephanie N. Blankenship

Born and raised here in Washington County, I made the choice as an adult to return to Washington County to raise my daughter. My parents are Mary Lee and the late Michael Blankenship. My family owned and operated Chipley Communications for nearly 25 years. My grandmother, June Blankenship Johns, was the first female real estate broker here in Washington County. My twin sister Michelle is an attorney and Managing Partner for Jordan Peskin P.A. a law firm in Chipley. I\'m proud of my Washington County roots. I would be honored to serve as your next Clerk of Court and continue my family\'s dedication to the people of Washington County. As your next Clerk of Court, I vow to bring integrity back to the Clerk\'s office. I will encourage internal growth and training of all employees. I will continue the progress I made while at the Clerk\'s office to update and maintain the electronic filing portal and provide assistance to all filers as best as we can. I will encourage my employees to establish and maintain a working relationship with the judicial offices that we serve. I will hold people accountable for their spending. I will ensure that the proper funds are being taken in, in accordance to the statutes, and dispersed according to the statutes. I will provide a tracking system to ensure all escrow and court registry funds are accounted for and available. I want to make the clerk\'s office an office that is friendly, efficient, honest, and knowledgeable.
