Candidate: James E. Guy

Hello, my name is James E. Guy, and today I announce that I have decided to seek the local office of County Commission District 5 in Washington County Florida. I am a long time registered Republican, but I have decided to run as a NPA (non party affiliation). I want the entire voting contingency of this county to decide on me as a candidate not just the registered republicans only. If I am going to be accountable to all voters then I believe all voters should have the chance to vote on me. I was born in Wausau Florida 70 years ago and my entire family structure has been in this county for the past 150 years. As County Commissioner I will have to be accountable to Democrats and Republicans. I am a people\'s candidate not a party\'s candidate. I am on the board of directors of Council On Aging, founder and president of Shepherd\'s Gate Church, Inc., a nonprofit organization that specializes in helping the elderly and poor in this county. I have managed 3 different companies and all have been successful. I am a peacemaker, organizer and a leader, but I am not a compromiser; Good cannot compromise with wrong and yield good results. I ask all voters to examine my past and therefore you will know what I will do in the future. I have been working in our county for the past 15 years helping whenever I can. I will always remember as County Commissioner that I work for You The People. You are the employer and I will be the employee. I want to represent you the voter to get this county out of the Red and back into the Black category of finances and restore integrity and honesty in our local government.
