Candidate: Kevin Whitlow

My name is Kevin Whitlow, and I am looking for your support in my campaign for Putnam County School Board District 5. I am a Christian Conservative and Husband of 37 years to my Wife, Terri. We have two grown children who have blessed us with three granddaughters.

I’ve been in and around education my entire life. My Father was a History Teacher and School Administrator. My Mother was a Home Economics Teacher and Guidance Counselor. While in college I took a position with Herff Jones, a Graduation Supply Company. I spent the next 39 years serving the students, teachers, and administrators in 65 high schools in Northeast Florida preparing students to graduate and creating the best experience for them in the process.

Today I am ready for a new challenge and act of service. After selling my business to my son three years ago, I decided to take my experiences in schools and the overall school system and share them as a School Board Member. I am not a politician, and I am not using this position to further a career. My love for Public Education, its students, and staff are what have gotten me to this point. Putnam County is a wonderful place to live as our family has seen over the last 50 years, and a great school system would only enhance that quality of life. My commitment is to Putnam County and to continue a wonderful experience throughout the schools for all people involved, to guide students in the present, and to prepare them for life after graduation. I can assure you that your support would be appreciated and rewarded.
