Candidate: David Herold

My name is David Herold and I am an 11-year resident of Eagle Harbor. Some of my volunteer efforts in and around the community include the Eagle Harbor Architectural Review Committee (ARC), FIHS Club Golden Eagle Outreach (a club designed to recruit high school students for local volunteer work), the Eagle Harbor Screaming Eagle Summer Swim Team (five years), and recently I organized area high school students in a volunteer clean-up of our Lick Skillet recreation area, complete with credits toward their Community Service hours. I have been a regular attendee of the CDD meetings and voice my comments and concerns often. I would like to officially serve on the CDD (Seat 4) because I believe my ideas and experience will benefit the Board’s direction and the Eagle Harbor community overall. My 27 years in commercial general contracting have given me a strong background in contract negotiations, financial planning and budgeting, managing subcontractors, and the people skills needed to achieve progress working with residents of varied interests. I am employed with C. Young Construction, I’m married with children (wife Cary, two grown daughters in college, and a 15-year-old son at home), and I believe the future of Eagle Harbor resides with concerned residents who are willing to go to bat for the community.
