RE-ELECT JERRY VICENTI TO VCDD DISTRICT 7 SUPERVISOR SEAT 4

I AM RUNNING FOR RE-ELECTION FOR BOARD SUPERVISOR FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT 7  SEAT 4 (CDD7) REPRESENTING THE VILLAGES OF HEMINGWAY, DUVAL, HADLEY & BONITA

I am your Villages Elected Official, as your (CDD) District 7 Supervisor and Vice Chairman and Project Wide Advisory Committee (PWAC) Representative I put my heart & soul representing the voice of the District 7 residents of the Villages. 

I was born and raised in Staten Island, N.Y. retired from The Port Authority of NY & NJ after 35 years.  I worked as a Buyer and Contract Administrator awarding & negotiating contracts.  I Supervised the Uniforms Services Department, Supervised the construction, operation and security of the Brooklyn Cruise Ship Terminal.  Served as a Trustee on the Port Authority Supervisor's Union Executive Board.  Worked in the World Trade Center Recovery Unit in 1993 & 9/11.  I received a Special Citation award for my work in the Port Authority World Trade 911 Recovery Unit.

My wife Annette and I moved to the Village of Hemingway in June 2008.  Served on The Property Owners Association (POA) as a board director and director of membership for 7 years.  Elected to the District 7 Supervisors Board in 2012.  I am proud and honored to serve as the Vice Chairman on the Supervisors District 7 Board.  In the last seven years I have been devoted to speaking out for our residents.  I have protected, preserved and improved the rights of OUR residents.  I have been devoted to educating residents on issues that concern them, i.e.;  Project Wide and an overview of our Villages Government.  I am always working hard to Protect and Improve The Health, Welfare & Quality of Life of the Residents of the Villages.  In my opinion, the District 7 Board has been exemplary in representing the voice and what is in the best interest of our constituents and only our residents. 

Objectives

  • To keep residents informed and educate them on all Villages District government issues.  
  • Make a major effort to have our Boards that are elected by the residents take full control of their maintenance and amenities budget presently controlled by the Commercial Property Owners/Developer's Board (SLCDD) who has control of a percentage of our maintenance and all of our 72 million dollar amenities budget.  
  • I will keep working hard to bring the democratic process to the voters in the Villages where the majority rules and not the minority. The same democratic process that our great country is based on and our military have fought for and still are fighting for. 
  • Keep insuring your hard earned dollars are spent wisely and efficiently.
  • Continue to work hard to Protect and Improve The Health, Welfare & Quality of Life of the Residents of the Villages.

Achievements

  • Voted to keep the Amenities Cap on our Amenities Fees.
  • Introduced a resolution to give full authority of our Amenities and Maintenance Fees to the Villages residents through the election process to residents that live in District 5 through 12 of the Villages to mirror the Amenity Authority Committee (AAC).
  • Have overseen a 2. 2 million dollar maintenance budget for District 7 resulting in not havng an assessment maintenance fee increase for the last 7 years.
  •  
  • Served on the District 7 Board and Project Wide Advisory Committee (PWAC) to insure your hard earned dollars are spent wisely and efficiently.
  • Instrumental in the installation of the Colony Blvd crossing Street Light.
  • Instrumental in receiving $100,000 from the Developer for the Colony Blvd crossing street light lowing the cost to our residents.
  • For the last 8 years always replying back to ALL residents emails and inquiries resulting in hundreds of issues and concerns being resolved.

President of the Italian Paisans Club, Dedicated to physical fitness, Cycling (cycled  79,049 miles in 10 years) from 4/1/2010 to 3/31/2020, Golf, Dancing with my wife, Lifetime member of the The Villages Homeowners Association (VHA), Member of the Property Owners Association (POA) & District 7 Supervisor Vice Chairman & PWAC Representative.
