Candidate: Tom Williams

I have been married to my wife Leah for 30+ years.  Upon the birth of our son Thomas we decided to leave Dade County in hopes of finding a better place to raise our son.  My sister and parents have been living in Putnam County since the mid 80’s and convinced us that this was the place to live, and we agreed. So I retired from the Miami Dade County Police Department, we sold our home, packed our goodies and here we remain after 25+ years.

The rest of our family followed us to Putnam County, consisting of my sons, Timothy and Mike, and my daughter Tracy.  During which time we have been blessed with three granddaughters born in Putnam County.  We now have four granddaughters and one great granddaughter.

My sister was right this is a great place to live, and open a business.  We have owned a successful and profitable repair center in Interlachen since our move to Putnam County.

Now a little about myself:

Chairman of The Putman County Republican Executive Committee for the past 6+ years during this time we switched the county from Democrat majority to Republican majority.

I am and have been a certified Law Enforcement Officer for 40+ years still participating on a part time basis with the Town of Interlachen.

I was the charter Sergeant of Arms for the Interlachen and Lakes Area Rotary Club.

I have served on three Putnam County Boards

          Planning Commission

          Contractors Review Panel

          Contractors Disciplinary Board

I stay involved in many community groups and clubs.

I believe Putnam County is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.  I also believe with more conservative leadership it can be even better.  I am running for County Commission District 4 to provide improved leadership.  It seems that the glass on the compass is clouded for some and they are taking our county on the wrong path.  I want to provide a clear conservative perspective and work to lead your county government down a brighter and better future for the benefit of all the citizens of Putnam County
