Candidate's Statement

Meet Charman Postel: A dedicated advocate, devoted mother of four, and proud product of the School District of Palm Beach County. With her children attending elementary, middle, and high school in District 5, she intimately understands the needs of our schools and communities. Born and raised in Boynton Beach, Florida, Charman has called Boca Raton home since 2006, where she resides with her husband, children, and beloved dog Hershey.

Charman is a former Early Childhood Teacher and Educator and the founder and owner of CLRP & Associates, a boutique business and event management company. Additionally, she is the President and Founder of the Bold Foundation, which supports, educates, and empowers the next generation of leaders with the soft skills necessary to navigate their pathways beyond high school.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University, Charman's advocacy efforts have earned national recognition. She received the prestigious National PTA School of Excellence award in 2017 for her leadership and service at JC Mitchell Elementary. Her commitment to education and health advocacy has garnered her multiple accolades, including the Leadership of the Year Award (2019-2020), Advocacy Award (2021, 2022), Trailblazer Award (2022), and Community Award (2023).

Previously, Charman served as the President of the Parent Teacher Association Palm Beach County Council, Advisory Boundary Committee, Referendum, Penny Sales Tax, and various other capacities. Currently, she chairs the School District of Palm Beach County's Academic Advisory Committee, mentors with Take Stock In Children, and serves on the Boynton Aerospace Science Academy Board at her alma mater, Boynton Beach Community High School. Charman is also actively involved in PTAs across District 5 and holds a position on the Florida PTA Board of Directors.

In her own words, Charman believes, "Education is the cornerstone of our community's success. When our schools succeed, our communities flourish, and businesses thrive."
