I’m excited to announce that I am running for Okeechobee County School Board, District 1. I am married to Justin Maynor -for almost 17 years. Justin works in the IT department for our school district and is a deacon at First Baptist of Okeechobee. As both of us are a product of Okeechobee High School, we are excited our children have the same opportunity. We have 3 handsome boys: Jaxsen -7th grade, Jace 5th grade, and Jeb 1st grade. I have been a highly qualified, certified Educator, since 2010, with proven leadership within our school district. My first hand account of being a teacher, parent, and taxpayer helps me reflect on the needs of our district. I am very involved in volunteering for my church – teaching youth, missions, and leading a greeting team. I love spending time with my family, reading books, fishing, and running half marathons. As a school board member, I will work hard, advocate, make sound decisions, and collaborate for this district.
