Commissioner Whitmore is orginally from Michigan. She moved to Manatee County in 1969. Board Member of United Way and Health Information Exchange. Active in the Repulbican clubs of Manatee County, Food Bank, Homeless Coalition and Animal Services. Married to Dr. Andre Renard, Daugher,Janae Rudacille married to Scott Rudacille. Commissioner will soon be a grandmother to a little boy! I love my job. I do not just sit at the dais and collect a paycheck. I work on issues that affect this county. I am in the office every day and work on behalf of the citizens. As a representative of the entire county, I am at most functions/meetings where I am requested. In order to learn what is going on, I must be out in the public to listen and learn. My interests are to help the less fortunate and represent all citizens no matter what party affiliation and yet stay faithful to my party. My goals are to get more of our citizens to work and do whatever it takes to improve Manatee County\'s unemployeement rate. I have been very active in Port Manatee working with companies that will bring jobs across the street from the port that are port related and at the port. I am supporter of filling empty warehouses and businesses in South county and Desoto Mall area. County is working with potential business parteners in this area. Lakewood Ranch is moving towards world class rowing and has donated 20 soccer fields for sporting events. This will attract businesses that we have never tried to get in the future. With the world clas IMG, the sky is the limit. More people that visit for these events, more business for all of us. No idea is a dumb one, just pick up the phone and call me. This is my calling, to bring our county out of this major business slump.
