Candidate: Roger C. Galle

Who is Roger C. Galle? Roger is a more than 30 year resident of Manatee County. He and his wife Laurie have owned a small business for more than 20 years. His painting company has worked on many businesses and homes here in Manatee County. Both of his children have attended Manatee County public schools. Roger grew up and was educated at Mountain Mission School in Grundy, Va.,a combination church, school and home. He attended Johnson Bible College and UT before serving 13 years in the United States Air Force and Reserves. Roger has been a familiar and active force on many boards and projects. For over 8 years he served on the Rubiona Community Center and United Community Centers. Roger has also served on many industry related boards such as the American Subcontactors Assocation and Painting and Decorating Contractors of America. With both of these groups he worked on Workers Comp Reform,Prompt Pay Legislation and Industry Stanadrds. He has also worked behind the scences as a supportive spouse on Hope Family Services projects, SPARRC prokects, National Assocation of Women in Construction projects and Manatee County Jr. League projects. Always a team player to make our county a better place for all who live here. Why is he running? To help keep Manatee County a place where folks want to live and raise their families. Roger realizes that in order for families to stay here there must be good jobs that pay a living wage. These jobs need to be in a broad spectrum of areas to survive economic ups and downs. Medium sized companies that manufacture goods like Tropicana, Oshkosh Trailer and Pierce manufacturing need to be invited here to set up shops. Green Energy companies that will need skilled workers to expand to meet coming global changes. Those workers are here and can be put to work today. Families want a safe environment to raise their children. Our Sheriffs Deparment needs the support and help of all the residences in the county. Standing on the sidelines and casing stones is not Roger\'s way, rolling up his sleeves and shouldering responsibility thought cooperative works is his proven way.
