Candidate: Phyllis Criswell

For the last 25 years education has been my passion and my life – all in Putnam County. Our children are truly the key to the future of this community! I have served this district as a teacher, guidance counselor, principal, and assistant superintendent. I believe my leadership can make a difference in our children’s educational experience, and in the morale of the district’s employees, so that we aren’t just “imagining better schools”, but creating them. Both of my daughters are graduates of the Putnam County School District. I am excited about bringing my experience to the office of superintendent and prepared to work through the issues the district will be facing during these tough economic times. From federal and state issues to our local struggles of change and financial difficulties, I am prepared to deal with the challenges we will face as we move forward. I can assure you that no one will work harder than I will for our children.
