Candidate: Larry Harvey

Larry Harvey has been a long time resident of Putnam county and is a 1979 graduate of Palatka High School. He and his wife, Lynda have made Putnam County their permanent home. Together, they have three daughters and four grandchildren. Larry Harvey began a career in the insurance industry in 1986 as a debit agent before purchasing the Doug Cook Insurance Agency in 1991 which then became the present day Harvey Insurance Agency. Harvey has spent a large portion of his life meeting the insurance needs of Putnam County citizens with honesty, integrity, and professionalism. Empowering and influencing the positive outcome of people’s futures is one of Harvey’s passions. He has been known to invest his time and resources in empowering high school students by providing them with employment opportunities, mentoring them, and teaching them the tools of customer service and business management. Many students who have worked under Harvey have gone on to complete their post secondary education, have established successful careers, and become productive citizens. Harvey is an outstanding member of the community, and he firmly believes in giving back to the community by volunteering his time and financial resources to various community agencies and organizations. He has served as board member for Communities in Schools, the Florida Association of Insurance Agents, Putnam Better Place Plan, and the Chamber of Commerce among other organizations. Harvey is also very active in his church. In his role as a local business leader, Larry strives to provide his customers with quality products and service. As candidate for supervisor of elections, he is committed to providing outstanding public service to the citizens of Putnam County with transparency in a manner which builds public trust and serves you with honesty and professionalism.
